Yess, "to be able to survive off of your own creativity" that's the goal for me too! I don't need to be a millionaire, but to be able to survive through making art that is also to be a success to me!

Great when money & success don't corrupt + jealous don't stand in way for friendship

Great discussion … interesting to see this often repeat, dopamine quest vs in depth understanding of the Other, him, his common Humanity and significant difference

Good discussion! A lot to digest about what goes into working in the world as an artist. I appreciate the honesty & sincerity throughout the interview. I will be back for more 👍🎨💀

I loved the discussion about “luck and randomness” as elements of success. This seems to be true in all creative endeavours: music, acting, visual art. It’s always hard to see great artists going nowhere but that’s life.

I find it so interesting that he is able to use life setbacks as fuel for his art. Great interview!

Being here for the art and supporting the art have to be the prime objectives. So many artists should be discovered by a larger number.

Hello I am Seungdo Hyun. Thank you for sharing the amazing episode.

Lately, I have been going through real tough situation. I used to sell a lot. I sold out several collections. But suddenly I found myself unhappy while making art. I felt first stuck and wanted to go deeper. I realized I was making art that could sell well with the style already accepted at some point without knowing it.

When I realized it is time to move on from the work I was making, fear started growing. "At least you could sell and survive now but if you change your style...people would get confused or may not like your work" kind of fear.

Eventually, I decided to move on and started experimenting stuff. Sometimes I feel free and sometimes I get scared. When I heard he started new identity, I realized I am still struggling between "known me and new me"

This episode makes me think a lot. Not complete answer has been given to me but at least it says 'you are not the only one and it is a path' to me so I don't feel lonely at this point.

I gotta handle my artistic ADHD, being interested and wanting to do so many different stuff. lol.

This was my first UNDGRGRND podcast and I'll make sure it's not my last one. Loved the natural flow of it.

It wasn't just an interesting "interview", which to be honest I expected, but it was much more. I'm really glad I took the time :-)

P.S. - Would be nice if there was a link to Colin's page or an X account. Would love to check out his work.
